A group of young New Taiwanese from Europe and US love this island and want to contribute their talents to this place.  They started with their favorite beverage – Coffee.  Soon, they found that unfairness in coffee industry is not the only issue, it's also one of the most polluting food products on the planet, ranking alongside milk as one of the top 10 most environmentally damaging beverages.  The shocking part?  Many people are unaware of this fact.

The pollution largely stems from the discarded husks of coffee cherries. When you visit coffee-producing regions, you'll often see vast landfills of these husks, towering like mountains. These waste piles not only harm biodiversity but also release methane into the atmosphere when it burns, contributing to environmental degradation.

Determined to address this issue, we decided to start at the source by working with local farmers. We realized that by changing the way these discarded husks are processed, we could make a significant impact. Thus, we began collaborating with farmers from the continents to transform these husks into something valuable: a natural, delicious drink that you now know as KIARA.

KIARA is more than just a beverage; it’s a solution. Made from coffee cherries, it provides all the energy you need for your day without the jitters associated with other caffeinated products. What’s more, it’s packed with antioxidants and fibers—so much so that it surpasses even superfruits like cranberries in nutritional value.

KIARA's commitment to the environment doesn’t stop there. By embracing circular economy principles, we’ve created a process that not only increases revenue for local communities but also enhances the handling of coffee husks. After enjoying KIARA, the remaining product is repurposed to help grow more coffee, closing the loop and ensuring a sustainable cycle.
